1. Who runs this site

2. Your photo isn't a data point we collect

Korpiss's core feature — removing the background from a photo — runs entirely in your browser, on your own device. The image you select is never uploaded to any server of ours or of any third party: the cutout model is downloaded once (and cached in your browser), and all processing happens locally, even offline afterwards.

This means we have no way of seeing, storing, or losing your photo — it simply never reaches us.

3. Browsing data and cookies

Like most sites, we collect some technical data about visitors to Korpiss, through two Google services:

  • Google Analytics (GA4): pages visited, site language, tool usage events (e.g. clicking "Remove background"), aggregated device/browser data. We use this to understand what works and prioritize improvements — not to identify you personally.
  • Google AdSense: the site is funded by ads served through Google AdSense. Google and its advertising partners use cookies (including third-party cookies) to serve and personalize ads based on your visit to this and other sites.

For browsing/analytics data, processing relies on legitimate interest (understanding site usage) or, where applicable, your consent (e.g. non-essential cookies in jurisdictions requiring opt-in, such as the EU/UK). You can withdraw consent at any time via your browser settings or the opt-out links above. We don't process sensitive data or make automated decisions with legal effect on you.

Your photo: never retained, because it's never uploaded. Analytics data: follows Google Analytics' standard retention period (configured to not retain indefinitely). Advertising cookies: follow Google AdSense's retention policy.

7. Your rights

Under the GDPR (EU/UK) or similar laws, you can request confirmation, access, correction, or deletion of personal data we process about you, and information about who we share data with. Since we don't collect direct personal identification (name, email, account — Korpiss requires no sign-up), most requests are resolved by pointing you to your browser's or Google's own cookie/ad controls. Still, any question or request can be sent by email.

Korpiss isn't directed at children and doesn't knowingly collect data from anyone under 13.

We may update this page whenever the site or the third-party services we use change. The date at the top of this page always reflects the latest version.
