Common questions about removing a logo's background
Does the logo come out in vector quality after the cutout?
No. The cutout works on the image file you uploaded (pixels), not on the original vector file (AI, EPS, SVG). If you still have the brand's vector file, that remains the best source for large-format printing — this tool is for when all that's left is an image version.
Do I need to pay or create an account?
Neither. The cutout runs in your browser, with no upload to a server, no usage limit, and no watermark stamped on the result.
Does it work with a logo on a black or dark background?
Yes, as long as the background can be told apart from the mark itself. The trickiest case is a dark background with a dark element inside the logo (or the reverse) — the manual brush adjustment sorts that out quickly.
What if a piece of the old background is left over?
Just switch to the tool's manual refinement mode and erase the leftover bit with the brush before downloading the final PNG.
